ABOUT:Yessica, the talent behind Xeroine Illustration, is an artist and illustrator who crafts pieces that illuminate various facets of her identity, encompassing her Xicana ethnicity, queer sexuality, and the broader experience of womanhood.
“While my pieces aren’t all literal self-portraits, all of my works focus on different aspects of my identity”, states the artist.
In terms of her artistic tools, Yessica exclusively works Procreate and watercolors for her illustrations. Additionally, she utilizes resin epoxy to create unique and statement jewelry.
A native of Milwaukee, the artist's passion for art was ignited by her sister.
She pursued her artistic journey through various institutions, attending Lincoln Center for the Arts, DIAL (now defunct), and MIAD, from which she graduated in 2014.
Since then, she has dedicated herself to crafting personal illustrations and unique epoxy creations. Yessica collaborates with musicians and writers to produce compelling album artwork, merchandise designs, and book covers, leaving a profound impact that resonates on multiple levels.
